Dr. Harold (Hal) Weaver
Dr. Harold (Hal) Weaver is the Founding Chair of Africana Studies at Rutgers University. In 1972 he became the first professor to offer a course on Paul Robeson.  A year later Dr. Weaver initiated a successful effort to award Mr. Robeson an honorary doctorate for his 75th birthday.  Now retired from teaching, Weaver is currently the Principal Curator for The China Film Project
